I am doing my senior capstone project this year on something that involves biology. I am researching the issue of golf courses impacts on the environment. I am researching how golf courses benefit the environment, and how the negatively impact the environment.  There are many ways on how golf courses effect the environment both ways. There are a lot of efforts today of people trying to make golf courses more eco-friendly.

My Role In A Cell

I would want to be the nucleus ina  cell. The nucleus gets to control everything in the cell. I a cell the nucleus controls all of the activities that go on in a cell. They are present in both plant and animal cells. It also contains most of the cells genetic material.

Enzyme lab

I thought the enzyme lab was very interesting. It was cool to see how different things effect the activity of enzymes.

Thing I Am Most Looking Forward To In AP Biology

The thing I am most looking forward to in this class is learning a little bit about turf grass life and management. I'm do not think there will be a whole section on this topic but we will probably touch this topic in a  certain section. This will help me in the future because I have to take a  turf grass management class in college.

The thing I am not looking forward to is the chemistry part. I am not the biggest fan of chemistry so I will be happy when the chemistry units are done!

1st Blog Entry, AP Biology

Hello, My name is Alex Walters. I love to play golf and disc golf. My whole life revolves around golf, everything I do has to do with golf and i work at a golf course. In the future, i plan on being a general manager at a golf course.\

I am taking AP Biology because I plan on going to the PGM program at Ferris State University next year and I need to get ready to take a college level course. Also, in order to graduate from this program, I am going to have to take biology in college. I figured I should take this class so I am ready and I have more knowledge about this subject.

I hope to come out of this class with a better understanding of how a college level course will be like and with better knowledge of Biology. I think it will really help me in the future!
